UCSD Welcomes Rejected Students

SAN DIEGO — The University of California, San Diego accidentally sent a welcome e-mail to about 29,000 applicants who had been rejected.

The e-mail sent Monday evening invited all 47,000 students who applied to an admitted students' day on campus.

UCSD Admissions Director Mae Brown apologized for the mistake today and explained that the e-mail was supposed to go to about 18,000 accepted students.

Yeah, so they rejected me, accepted me (or so I thought) and then rejected me again. I already have another school I'm definitely going to, so it didn't affect me as much, but man that's sad.

Pluto Day!

Today's Pluto Day (in Illinois at least)!
Only today is Pluto considered a planet (only in Illinois)!

It also happens to be one of three Friday the 13's we have this year.

Blue gay ducks are last couple of species

So these two male blue ducks are two of the remaining three known blue ducks in the world; they're endangered.
There was one other female, and they decided to hook up with each other and in turn booked the extinction of their species. Sad, but they look pretty happy.
